Babai BIG, Missing Dear

BIG tortured me mentally and my energy was drained till the last drop when it ended.. There were times when I felt lost and didn't know what to do, where to go.. It was terrible.. I missed home and the house in Ipoh those times.. I couldn't get online.. I couldn't find a quiet corner to be alone.. I couldn't get anyone to actually talk to.. I have no one to text to.. I couldn't get back to the freaking hot tent to sleep away.. I couldn't hug my pillow tightly to shed away the miserable tears.. I thought going to the swimming pool on the third day of BIG will be something to cheer myself up.. But in the end, it turned out to be another disaster and that experience felt like a betrayal.. I felt suffocated for nearly three days and three nights..

When BIG finally ended on Thursday noon, I finally reached the house in Ipoh and I was caught in a high fever and sore throat.. I could neither speak nor wash my clothes.. Thanks dear for bringing me out for a very warm dinner and he accompanied me for the entire evening. ><

Early Friday morning at 5.30am, I was bitten by an unknown insect twice and within an hour my body swelled like anything. I sort of panicked and called up my parents. Couldn't get through dear so I had to ask Cherry to bring me to the hospital instead. I went straight to the emergency unit and I was given two injections on the arm and hand. I even puked with an empty stomach, throwing up all the bitter and sour gastric juice. I felt sorry to make Cherry wait with me in the observation ward for almost five hours and our scheduled jammed up due to this.

I'm now back in Penang, back here at home. I started off a little bit with my assignment but the drowsiness caused by my medication keeps pulling me back.. I have thick and green mucus and phlegm. I don't have a sore throat anymore but I have flu. After settling down at home.. I miss dear badly every now and then.. BIG took up a lot of our time and energy and right after that we have to head home for our holidays.. Besides the assignments on hand, I'm kinda nervous about my first PBS next week.. I always get nervous when it comes to my first experiences. A typical timid? >< One thing I'm glad is that SooYin and I are going to the same school for PBS this semester so I'm not THAT afraid..

Maybe being sick is the reason that makes me miss him even more today.. I miss his warm lap and hugs.. I know he'll get worried if I feel down all the time so I'll try to cheer myself up despite the sickness I'm facing now.. Hope I can see him on webcam tonight. ><

  1. Ahaha ~~ when it comes to PBS, just ask me for any tips you might need ~ =3

I had just experienced the 3rd PBS last week ^w^
    (Right now in Sem III)

Yeah, the first BIG (last year) is the most challenging, and I did caught a bad fever after it ended. I got a bad pain in my head, and nearly got a nosebleed due to high temperature.

In other words, you just passed the hell of all BIGs. Thank God for that. ~~

The next 2 BIGs will be on community service and workshops, while the 4th will be another camping, but this time, at villages. ~ =3

5th and 6th (final 2 BIGs) are the paradise, but hard to plan. 5th is a benchmarking trip to interview excellent teacher, while the final is to visit and observe excellent school. ~~ =3

You can take a deep breath now. You just passed the hell of the BIG. ~ =3

  2. Camps are always enjoyable when you mingle around happily but things just didn't turn out right for me those days.. So it was just like what you said, hell. Glad it ended though..

And thanks for the offer on advice on PBS. ;)

  3. The first BIG is totally a test of physical and mental. Especially to those having a "dear dear" like me before. No phones, no means of communications with the loved ones in those days... it was a torture... =w=

Yeah, just ask me about PBS anytime. I'll be glad to answer it. ^^

  4. Hahaha yea.. Couldn't really get used to it.

Erm, actually what are the main things we're supposed to do for our first PBS? Just a rough idea would do. >< Coz I saw the list of things and the whole sheet of papers but I'm still a bit blur. ><

  5. Ehehe, perhaps the list of things were the checklist, right? ~ =3

I'll explain in detail later, but here are the main things: ~ =3

    1. School observation (most will go to interviews)
    2. Classroom observation
    3. Assignments

Perhaps you have been given assignments regarding Ilmu Pendidikan (which will be either FPK, PKK, or both).

So, which assignment did you get? ~^^

  6. Yea it is sort of a checklist, with all the letters and Lampiran's.

    1. I understand that we have to conduct interviews with the teachers there, but I don't really know what to ask the teachers. >< And are there any requirements on what teachers to find and interview? I'm totally blur about the interviews and what to interview. ><

    2. Classroom observation I quite understand that we have to look at two subjects, and the best will be that one of the subjects is to be our major. Erm, here I need tonnes of photos right? ><

    3. Assignments: I have PKK for my PBS assignment. I'm asked to look for three kids with different physical characteristics and erm, I agak agak can survive the assignments.. gua. ><

I heard that I need a mentor there, is this true? >< I'm really sorry for asking so many questions but I didn't receive any detailed briefing on what to do for our PBS.

Sorry for the late reply too. >< I was terribly sick last night and couldn't reply properly due to some problems with the internet. ><

  7. Answers to the questions ~~

    1. I understand that we have to conduct interviews with the teachers there, but I don't really know what to ask the teachers. >< And are there any requirements on what teachers to find and interview? I'm totally blur about the interviews and what to interview. ><

    What to ask?
*For GB, PK1, PKHEM, PKKK, and PK Penyelia Petang (if any), ask about their teaching experience, their task field (bidang kuasa dan tugas) in school, achievements of school, co-curiculum in school, and others you want to know ~

*For Ketua Panitia Subjek, ask on teaching experience, classroom management, relation with students, moral values taught, and others.

*Do the same for other teachers.

There are no requirements for which teachers to interview, however these are compulsory to interview (a MUST ~~)
    * GB, all PKs
    * Your mentor there
    * Ketua Panitia of your previous minors and majors. (e.g. Mine was MT, BI, BM)

    2. Classroom observation I quite understand that we have to look at two subjects, and the best will be that one of the subjects is to be our major. Erm, here I need tonnes of photos right? ><

    --ANS--
Yes, the best is to look at classes where the teacher teaching your major is in. (e.g. I often make an appointment to go together with Maths teachers for observation.)

Tonnes of photos? Yes, in PBS, camera is compulsory. You must take tonnes of photos on anything happening in school, so does its infrastructure ~

    3. Assignments: I have PKK for my PBS assignment. I'm asked to look for three kids with different physical characteristics and erm, I agak agak can survive the assignments.. gua. ><

    --ANS--
Oh, it's easy then. Not like mine before, FPK and PKK at once. -w-

Yeah, just follow as what your assignment said, and make a report on them.

    4. I heard that I need a mentor there, is this true? >< I'm really sorry for asking so many questions but I didn't receive any detailed briefing on what to do for our PBS.

    --ANS--

True. The mentor will be chosen by the GB. Just ask him. The mentor need to be the one teaching your major. (e.g. for mine was Maths)

Well, I received a well-briefing before, but was afraid at first. Now, I'm get used to it. ~ =3
